Greater Spokane Incorporated is committed to helping grow jobs and business investment in this industry – it’s about production, growers and suppliers, and it’s also about supporting and valuing the industry that feeds the world’s population.
New industries have emerged and other industries have expanded, providing Spokane and the Inland Northwest a diverse group of businesses and an economy not dependent upon one or two key industries. Agriculture and agribusiness are key drivers to a strong economy, and that’s why the AgriBusiness Council of Greater Spokane Incorporated joined forces with Visit Spokane to designate the first week in February as Ag Week in Spokane.
The 38th Annual Spokane Ag Expo and 61st Annual Pacific Northwest Farm Forum happened in Spokane February 3-5, as part of the region’s Ag Week celebration. This annual event is the only show of its kind in the area and it attracts thousands of people from all over the region — with an estimated economic impact of $10 million. Attendees enjoyed the additional space afforded by the newly completed expansion work at the Spokane Convention Center that made room for more booths, more exhibits and more events!
Thousands of people from all over the region came to see the latest and greatest in the ag industry, and hundreds took time to learn about new procedures that could make a real difference in their work.
Here are a few highlights:
We’re already looking forward to new year’s show. Stay tuned for more details!
