POSITION TITLE: Membership Account Manager
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Membership Director
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Regular, Full-time; Exempt – Administrative
GSI is seeking a qualified sales professional to increase growth in membership accounts and revenue. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team and be responsible for the full sales cycle, as well as support member retention, and contribute to the identification and improvement of programs and services to best meet the needs of current and prospective members. He/she must be able to develop and maintain a robust prospect pipeline, build professional relationships, understand the needs of potential members, propose the appropriate membership level, and close the sale.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, membership sales, strategy development, relationship establishment and maintenance, special event attendance and participation, and liaison duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications include an Associate Degree and/or equivalent experience in a sales related field, a valid state driver’s license free of serious or frequent traffic violations, and at least 2 years’ experience in a role growing and developing a customer/member base which included cold calling, prospecting, and lead generation. The ideal candidate will preferably will also have a demonstrated record of selling a service, proven ability to exceed goals, excellent written/verbal/presentation skills, and overall enthusiasm and team spirit.
