Access2Experience Online Platform Connects the Business and Education Communities

Connecting the business and education communities is essential for our future economy. Communities can do that in a number of ways. Our community does that through our Teaching the Teachers program, FIRST Robotics and more.

Now comes a new online platform: Access2Experience. Take a look:

Access2Experience allows business professionals to share their experiences in classrooms and students to explore businesses. This introduces students to various careers and can prepare students for life after high school and college. Here’s how it works:

If you are a business…….

……You can create an Employer Profile so students and career seekers can learn more about your organization and the careers within your organization. See if your organization is already signed up. If it isn’t, get started now!

If you are a professional…….

…….You can create an account so educators can find you and invite you to speak in their classroom or at their workshop. You can select your preferred speaking times and how far you are willing to travel. As professionals, you have knowledge to share and the ability to ignite passion and inspire the future decisions and career paths of our students.

If you are an educator…….

…….You can create an Educator Profile and search for professionals you think would be valuable guest speakers for your students. You can search by industry, job type or keyword to find the best match.

Think of Access2Experience as a social networking site for educators and professionals with the goal of preparing our future workforce. Students and career seekers will also be able to use Access2Experience to search available internships, job shadows, apprenticeships and other opportunities.

So encourage your employees, coworkers, friends or other professionals you know to sign up today! Remember: these students could be your employees or coworkers someday.

*Access2Experience is in partnership with Greater Spokane Incorporated (that’s us!), and the Spokane Area Workforce Development Council.
