Medical Lake School District Is On Top Of The World

It’s not just Robots….
It takes a village… is truly the example of how the Medical Lake Circuit Breakers ended up on “top of the world”.

Robotics is made up of mechanical, software, and business groups of students, all striving to support each other’s needs. Fund raising is an important part not only for the competition part but the learning and ownership of each student. Students learn the value of hard work to meet their goals. Robotics is also about giving to the community. Students learn the value of helping others and supporting events. Whether it was building a robot for the Spirit Game or helping move tables and chairs for a local event, the students arrive in their blue Circuit Breaker shirts ready to work.

Robotics is about partnerships. MLSD has many people to thank for their countless hours of support from Advisors, Fairchild Air Force Base, Kiwanis, Re-Imagine Medical Lake, Caterpillar, Greater Spokane, Pizza Factory, and many more. Each member is instrumental to the team success. Thank you.

Robotics is a yearlong process. Although the “build season" starts in January, the team works year round. In the summer they have a STEM camp for students and during the year they host area elementary students in the STEM lab.

Robotics in high gear… starts in January with build season. Events at West Valley School District, Central Washington University, and Eastern Washington University were stepping stones for the big event, the World Championship in Houston TX. At the World Championship Medical Lake won the prestigious Excellence in Engineering Award.
