MEET COMMISSIONER AL FRENCH

After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1969 to 1972, Al moved to Moscow, Idaho to attend the University of Idaho where he received his Bachelor of Architecture degree with a minor in Business Finance in 1977. 

Prior to his election to the Spokane City Council in 2002, Al served on numerous boards and commissions throughout the region, especially donating his service and expertise to neighborhood committees in Spokane. 

Al has more than 30 years experience as a successful businessman, architect, investment consultant, and developer in the Spokane region. He has both attracted and assisted new businesses in the region and will use that experience in the role of Spokane County Commissioner. 

 

MEET THE 'NEXT BIG THING' PANEL

Latisha Hill is a Spokane native and has a Bachelor’s of Science in Communications from Washington State University and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from Eastern Washington University. She has worked in a number of roles since joining Avista in 2005, including operational and business policy support for multiple areas of the Avista service territory.

 

 

 

 

 

Larry Krauter currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Spokane International Airport, Felts Field and Airport Business Park, collectively referred to as Spokane Airports. Before joining Spokane Airports, he served as the Interim Executive Director of the Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority (Pennsylvania) and also served as the Deputy Executive Director and as the Director of Planning & Engineering. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Peter Zimm is a Principal for aerospace-focused management consulting firm, Charles Edwards. In this position, he leads strategy, market positioning, and operations improvement consulting projects for aerospace companies. Peter is an internationally-recognized market expert in aerospace raw materials, aircraft components, manufacturing process technologies, and aircraft emissions.
