The theme for this year’s AGORA Awards is Celebrating 31-derful Years of Business Excellence! This is our 31st annual event and we’ll be paying homage to the creativity, innovation and determination that brought America through the 1930s. We’ll also be having a really good time … think Fred & Ginger, George & Gracie and Louis Armstrong.

As the Great Depression rolled over our country in the 1930s people were forced to abandon business as usual, learn to do a lot with a little, and devise unexpected remedies to challenges they'd never before experienced. Our country encountered unprecedented hardships, but we also discovered amazing progress -- in the areas of aerospace and manufacturing, public works, entertainment and technology. The 1930s was the decade of the depression, but it was also the era of swing music, fireside chats and the Golden Age of Hollywood. Out of the ashes came progress, hope and a promise that the future was going to be better.

AGORA Awards is the region’s premier business awards ceremony that celebrates and recognizes business excellence. This is a chance for the public and Greater Spokane Incorporated to congratulate each of the businesses for the important role they play in the community and for contributing to the region's economic growth. Visit our winner's page to view these outstanding businesses.

Stephanie Vigil, KHQ, joins us as Emcee.

Stephanie started her career in Sacramento, California at KOVR Channel 13. She moved to Spokane in 1997, when she became KHQ’s morning anchor alongside Dan Kleckner. In 2000, as a team, Stephanie and Dan were promoted to the main anchor positions, where you can see them today. Stephanie now anchors weekdays at 5, 6 and 11pm and during special events, like the Bloomsday race and Lilac Parade. Stephanie is the proud recipient of the prestigious Edward R. Murrow award and several Emmy awards.
