China's rapid development and Sino-American relations have a direct impact on the lives of nearly everyone in the United States. CHINA Town Hall is a national conversation about China that provides Americans across the United States and beyond the opportunity to discuss issues in the relationship with leading experts. Last year, over 80 venues and 100 speakers participated in the program, along with four partner organizations in Greater China. The eleventh annual CHINA Town Hall will take place on October 24, 2017 and will feature Ambassador Susan E. Rice, former national security advisor and U.S. ambassador to the UN, as the national webcast speaker.
Ambassador Rice’s presentation will be preceded by an in-person presentation from Michelle Yingyi Zou, Founder and CEO of Pacific Technologies Consulting Group (PTCG), on practical tips for finding success in the Chinese market. PTCG helps US organizations learn the China market, culture, and enter and grow their business in China. Prior to starting PTCG, Michelle worked for nine years at Microsoft. Her last role was responsible for the mobile phone business and ecosystem in the Greater China Region. Before taking on that role and moving to Beijing, Michelle had worked in Microsoft Headquarters and had built her personal brand within Microsoft as the “China Expert”. She is also a management and marketing consultant and trainer for Microsoft, a board of director at Washington State China Relations Council, and an advisor for several startups.
