Our first BizStreet workshop of the year is a two-part series, in partnership with INSHRM, filled with tips and tricks from industry experts on how to make your business an engaging place for employees.

 

As businesses continue to look for ways to address their biggest ongoing challenge – finding, developing and keeping quality, skilled employees – many are looking for ways to encourage employees to continue their education or add new training and certifications. Join us in learning how local companies – small, medium and large - are supporting efforts around recruitment and retention of talent within our region.

Meet the Presenters

Bryan Fix, Providence Health Care

Bryan Fix is currently a Regional HR Leader at Providence Health Care. He has practiced HR globally across the High-Tech, Tourism/Travel and Healthcare industries.  An engaging and thoughtful HR leader, he strives to deliver HR solutions that meet business needs and enable employee success.  Bryan has had the good fortune to gain experience from Silicon Valley startups to publicly-traded, multi-national organizations.   Along the way, he’s picked up some valuable insights and learned a lot of humility.  A servant-leader, he strives to enable the success of others. 

Staci Franz, Inland Northwest Health Services

Staci Franz serves as the Human Resources Director for Inland Northwest Health Services in Spokane, WA.  INHS represents a collaborative approach to health care.  With forward-thinking solutions, unique partnerships and innovative technologies, they bring safer, more cost-effective and higher quality health care locally, regionally and nationally.

Staci also is involved with several community advisory groups and boards to include Board Chair for the Next Generation Zone Employment and Career Readiness Network, Spokane Area Workforce Development Council, the Governor’s steering committee for Career Connected Learning, Eastern Washington University Health Policy and Administration and the Health Sciences Advisory boards for Spokane Valley and Mead school districts. Staci holds a Masters in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix and is a Certified Human Resources Professional.  

As a Director of Human Resources, she recognizes the need for business to collaborate with education and government to develop a sustainable workforce.  This is critical to the success of business in an ever changing environment to include regulatory compliance, service delivery, current workforce aging/nearing retirement and in healthcare constant demand for licensed professionals.  By matching business needs to post-secondary education, skill building for dislocated workers and building partnerships with other organizations in our community we can help influence policy and funding sources to respond to work force needs.  She also has a passion for helping our youth make informed decisions about employment opportunities and the academic paths to take to secure employment with “livable” wages. 

Alice Hardin, Northwest Farm Credit Services

Alice Hardin has worked for 19 years total service with Farm Credit Services – most focused in Human Resources.  Current position: Vice President of Human Resources for Northwest Farm Credit Services.  Responsibilities include. Her role as VP of Human Resources is leading a team of Human Resource professionals to provide employment and recruiting, compensation, benefits, employee relations, employee engagement, wellness, recognition programs, performance management, talent management and succession planning services to the Association. 

Alice is currently a member of the Red Cross Board for the Greater Inland Northwest Chapter.  Chair the Board Development Committee. She has been a member of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) and INSHRM (Inland Northwest Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management), since 1990, including servicing on the local chapter board for a period of 6 years and President of the chapter for one year. 

Charlie Isaacs, Gallagher

Charlie Isaacs is the Area President and Spokane Branch Manager of Gallagher, one of the world’s largest employee benefits, risk management and consulting firms.  He provides executive leadership and management for nearly 40 employees in the Greater Spokane Area and several satellite offices. Charlie has over fourteen years’ experience in the employee benefits and consulting arena. His experiences are vast and include owning his own benefits and technology consulting firm, leading consulting & sales teams, health plan underwriting, financial management, communications and compliance.  Charlie’s driving passions include developing exceptional workplace culture, building high-performing, energized teams and tirelessly serving clients.  He is a proud alum of Gonzaga University.

Sarah Letsch, Imprezzio, Inc.

Sarah Letsch works as a Talent & Culture Specialist at Imprezzio, Inc., a technology company specializing in sales enablement software. In 2017, Imprezzio was honored to be named the Inland Northwest’s best medium sized company to work for. Sarah graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in Law & Public Policy and Human Resource Management. She currently serves as the College Relations Director for INSHRM. Sarah is passionate about keeping people excited to go to work. She has championed numerous engagement efforts including a volunteer time off program, compressed workweeks, team building events, communication campaigns, and employee development.
