Teachers, counselors, advisors - join us to learn about the various pathways available in the health sciences world, specifically at CHAS Health and Providence!
This workshop will provide you with knowledge about the extensive medical, dental, behavioral, and pharmaceutical services that are led by CHAS Health and Providence in our region as you work to better prepare and guide your students through decisions during, and post-, high school.
CHAS Health will begin the morning by hosting attendees at their Nurse Practitioner Residency Clinic in the Valley. All of CHAS's educational programs will be highlighted and explained, including their Nurse Practitioner Residency Program, Pharmacy Residency Program, Dental Assistant (DA) Apprenticeship, Medical Assistant (MA) Apprenticeshipand Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship. You will also learn more about the recent partnership between CHAS and Providence that is set to develop and open a Dental Residency Program in the summer of 2019.
For the last two hours of the workshop, Providence will host attendees at their recently opened Medical Park in the Valley. Attendees will learn about Providence's Medical Assistant (MA) Apprenticeship Program as well as their Nurse Tech Program. A tour and hands-on learning activity will also be involved at both locations.
