Business AfterSchool: Medical Careers
Providence's Simulation Lab
*please note: this workshop takes place at the Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital located at 105 W 8th Avenue, West Tower, Suite 7020.
High school students will participate in fun, hands-on learning stations while learning about a variety of health care career opportunities. The SimLab utilizes high-tech, robotic mannequins to help train new and existing health care providers. Students will meet several caregivers representing different specialties throughout the Providence care continuum including nurses, respiratory therapists, radiology and medical lab technicians. It's an opportunity to see the type of training needed and to explore the growing medical field as a student's future career.
This workshop is designed specifically for high school students (including those incoming), grades 9-12 in fall 2019.
