This workshop will focus on the production steps needed to convert thermoplastic composite material into final aerospace parts. Throughout the process, we will highlight the impact of various engineering functions. High school students can learn about the principles of fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites as well as the process steps and quality controls in place including raw material conversion, initial consolidation, final stamp forming, part trimming, and destructive & non-destructive testing.

This workshop is designed specifically for high school students.


Triumph Composite Systems is an Aerospace manufacturer specializing in Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic Laminates. We produce parts utilizing several different processes and have implemented automation and robotics within our production systems. Triumph has been a part of the Spokane community since 1990, when the factory originally opened a the Boeing Interiors Offload Center in Airway Heights.
