Job Description:

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
The Administrative Assistant to the Vice President provides executive, administrative, and development support to the Vice President and Board of Directors. The Administrative Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on matters pertaining to the Vice President. The Administrative Assistant serves as a liaison to the Student Life Leadership Team; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts; and oversees special projects.

OPPORTUNITIES OF THE POSITION:
1. Administrative Support
• Maintain a working knowledge of various functions, policies, and
procedures of the university
• Provide administrative and project support for Vice President of
Student Life, to include: ordering and maintaining office supplies
and updating of office forms and documents
• Provide administrative support for the Board of Trustees’
Student Services Committee
• Provide support for Title IX compliance record keeping and
reporting
• Maintain minutes of Threat Assessment Team meetings
• Participate in weekly meetings as needed
• Compile data relating to annual reports as needed by Vice
President
• Maintain organized files of reports and correspondence
• Transmit correspondence via mail, email, and/or fax
• Enter data into a computer database (e.g. Excel, Colleague, and
Maxient) system
• Plan and execute events
• Other duties as assigned

2. Budgetary Responsibilities to Include:
• Assist in maintaining accurate records for the Vice President’s
budget and preparing expense reports; process
reimbursements and reconcile and process purchasing card
logs
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
• Experience effectively establishing relationships and positive
communications across multiple dimensions of diversity
including, but not limited to, race, gender, physical limitations,
sexual orientation, gender identity, class or religious
perspectives
• A personal commitment to the Christian faith
• Some weekend and holiday work; minimal travel maybe required
