Greater Spokane, hiring for a Business Growth Coordinator. As an integral part of the Business Growth team, the Business Growth Coordinator independently performs tasks which support GSI’s business growth initiatives, strategies and tactics. The Business Growth Coordinator is responsible for the creation of documents and resources to attract and recruit new businesses to the region resulting in the growth of local jobs and economic prosperity.

This is a full time position, typical hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm. Essential Responsibilities:

Maintains recruitment data and reports via Salesforce CRM and continually seeks efficiencies to better manage leads and activity.
For a broad portfolio of industries, manages components of business recruitment projects such as market research for proposals, coordination of site visits, and drafting of marketing content.
Utilizing various online tools, creates, cultivates, and screens lead prospect lists based on targeted industries.
Leverages Salesforce CRM to achieve business recruitment and marketing needs.
Prepares internal and external reports and presentations for various audiences.
Supports communication strategies for the business growth portfolio in partnership with the Marketing & Communications team, including website content management and creation of newsletter and other marketing content.
Conducts wide array of economic and business research, and translates research into understandable forms for diverse audiences.
Manages existing research tool such as Emsi, Gazelle.AI, and ZoomProspector, while also staying abreast of emerging economic development tools and resources.
Develops and maintains relationships with members and businesses to strengthen business recruitment efforts.
Develops and maintains understanding of business development, and business retention and expansion issues.
Contributes to organizational success by:
working with colleagues to discover and develop ways to retain, grow, better align and leverage GSI resources for greater impact;
developing and maintaining relationships with GSI’s Board and members to improve investor engagement;
contributing to an organizational culture of team work, support, engagement, and empowerment;
regularly evaluating GSI’s systems and processes for continuous improvement; and
contributing to the collection, organization, and presentation of key data in relation to GSI’s strategic plan and goals.

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience Requirements:

Education/Experience: Associate Degree in business, economics, or sales & marketing, and two years of experience in a related field is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Database management, sales, marketing, business development, and project management experience is preferred.
Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver’s license.
Computer Skills: Technology savvy and proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite, CRM software and internet. Experience with Salesforce is strongly preferred.
