Expo ’74 50th Anniversary Celebration – Get Involved

Did you know in 1974 when Spokane became the smallest city in history to host the World’s Fair that GSI (formerly the Spokane Area Chamber of Commerce) helped bring the Fair to Spokane? The event plays a big historical role for our city and sparked growth and transformation throughout our region. Even the infamous GSI ribbon cutting scissors were used to open the event!

Now, we’re on the planning committee alongside other incredible organizations to celebrate Expo ’74 50th Anniversary which takes place May 4-July 4, 2024. The celebration unfolds with more than 100 events that span arts & culture, recreation & sports, tribal culture, and environmental stewardship.

These events are all thanks to the support of hundreds of organizations and many people working to create fun and amazing experiences for everyone to celebrate and enjoy. The committee has received overwhelming interest from our business community asking how they can get involved, so a Corporate Club ’74 business opportunity was created to support the effort.

The Corporate Club ’74 is open to any business who wants to help the Expo ’74 50th Celebration Planning Committee reach their goals and enhance the community. Interested businesses or organizations will receive 25 individual Club ’74 memberships, providing access to discounts at retailers, commemorative coins, and a keepsake membership card. In addition, these members will receive four invitations to a private happy hour on the Post Street Bridge, celebrating its grand reopening to the community.

Learn more and get involved as a member of Corporate Club ’74.
