Program Overview

The Greater Spokane Inc. (GSI) Ambassador Program is a prestigious volunteer initiative composed of passionate partners who serve as liaisons between GSI, our partners, and the broader community. Ambassadors promote GSI’s mission, support events, and champion the growth of the local business climate.

We are committed to building a diverse group of Ambassadors, including small business owners and corporate professionals who can bring personal and authentic connections to GSI’s work and values.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Promote GSI: Share your member story, partnership benefits, and services with new and prospective partners.
  • Support Events: Attend and volunteer at ribbon cuttings, grand openings, specific signature events, community events, and networking events in or outside of GSI.
  • Build Connections: Serve as friendly and welcoming contact for partners and the business community.
  • Engage Partners: Encourage involvement and provide support to new and existing partners.
  • Recruit: Refer new partners and share the value of GSI partnership.
  • Advocate: Support local businesses and be a visible presence in the community.
  • Provide Feedback: Serve as a liaison between GSI staff and partners, sharing community insights.
Types of Ambassadors
  • In-Person Ambassadors: Attend events, meet business owners, and represent the organization face-to-face.
  • Social Media Ambassadors: Use their online platforms to promote GSI news, events, and partner stories.

Both roles are vital and can be filled based on individual strengths, interests, and availability.

Program Details
  • Term: One calendar year (starting in February), renewable upon mutual agreement.
  • Commitment: Attend events, engage with partners, and support GSI initiatives.
  • Support: Ambassadors receive ongoing communication, tools, and training from the organization.
