Greater Spokane Incorporated, in partnership with the US Commercial Service, is excited to host Inland NW World Trade Day on May 5. This full-day event is dedicated to international trade education and connecting businesses to export opportunities. Programming will be relevant for businesses interested in expanding their exports as well as those seeking to enter the export market for the first time.
This inaugural event will include a World Economic Forecast from John Shin, senior G10 FX strategist at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and a luncheon keynote: Seven Secrets of Successful Exporters from Dr. Lee Boam, retired US Foreign Service Officer (Diplomat). Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers will also join us for a special presentation of the Export Achievement Award.

The Spokane-Spokane Valley MSA exported $2.2 billion in goods and services in 2014 (Brookings Institution). And, with 95% of the world’s consumers and 70% of its purchasing power living outside the US, the export market represents huge opportunities for local businesses. As international commerce has become a staple of the 21st century economy, our region continues to become more interconnected with global markets.
