After nine years of growth at the Spokane Valley location, Tom Lewis was thinking about adding a second shop. During the expansion process, Tom met with Greater Spokane Incorporated’s economic development team to discuss the region’s business climate and learn about the selectspokane.com web tool . Reports including household income and age distribution were helpful in evaluating potential sites.

Once Upon a Child is a national franchise that buys and sells gently used children’s clothing and merchandise. By buying local and recycling outgrown (not outworn) clothing, the shops are good for the planet.
