Greater Spokane Incorporated is thrilled with the decision made by the Air Force to place Fairchild Air Force Base among the final five candidates for the KC-46A Tanker. Fairchild Air Force Base, with its strategic location, has the extensive infrastructure, the proximity to joint users, and the incredible operational and logistic talent to support the tankers. GSI and its Forward Fairchild committee have been advocating for Fairchild Air Force Base to be the next base for assigning the tankers. We will continue to advocate on behalf of Fairchild, our region’s largest single-site employer, to be the next operational site to beddown the KC-46A.
