This tournament we will have three sections with awards, if we have enough beginners:
1. Elementary novice/beginners. Awards: 1st, 2nd, biggest upset
2. Elementary experienced with tournament play. Awards: 1st, 2nd, biggest upset
Award will be presented to the top elementary team, combining both section.

MS and HS (no elementary play-up allowed)
Awards: 1st, 2nd and HS Top Team

NEWS:
~ Turkey Camp on Saturday after Thanksgiving. Beginners 10:00 am to noon, $30. Advanced: 1:00 to 4:00 pm, $40.

~ City of Spokane Valley Grant awarded to Inland Chess Academy to run two Title 1 elementary school chess clubs in Spokane Valley.
~ Overstock Surplus is donating 10% of proceeds from its Holiday Merchandise Gift Basket Sale.
~ State Line Auction is donating 20% of its revenue from close out auctions.
~ Inland Chess Academy’s goal: opening 30 school clubs in winter-spring semester.
~ High School study group meets alternate (form tournaments) Saturdays at Inland Chess Center. A few seats are available. No charge.
The goal includes attending a national high school tournament in
2023-20224 school year.
~ The Grand Prix runs again this year. Standings will be on website soon.
