World Ballet Festival

The World Ballet Festival is coming to Detroit this June!
Over the course of the weekend, Detroit ballet lovers will have a rare chance to see ballet stars from New York City Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Boston Ballet, Los Angeles Ballet, World Ballet Company, along with local companies’ presentations such as IBallet performing on one stage.

See the most spectacular performances from the most iconic ballets, such as Romeo and Juliet, Carmen, Cinderella, Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote and many more classical and modern works.

Guest stars of the Festival are Tiler Peck and Roman Mejia (NYCB), Aaron Robison and Sasha De Sola (SFB).

Friday: BALLET BLOCKBUSTERS. Day 1
Be treated to the charming Flower Festival in Genzano performed by Marcos Ramirez and Kate Inoue of Los Angeles Ballet.

Saturday: BALLET BLOCKBUSTERS. Day 2
Selections such as the seductive Black Swan Pas de deux and the iconic bedroom pas de deux from Romeo and Juliet give audiences a taste of the very best that ballet has to offer.

Sunday: BALLET BLOCKBUSTERS. Day 3
The stars of the evening, Tiler Peck and Roman Meija of New York City Ballet will perform the dazzling pas de deux from Star & Stripes, George Balanchine’s ode to America.

Special guests: Sasha De Sola and Aaron Robison (San Francisco Ballet).
