Greater Spokane Incorporated Welcomes Lance Beck as Chief Strategy Officer

Spokane, WA – Greater Spokane Inc. (GSI) is pleased to announce the hiring of Lance Beck as its new Chief Strategy Officer, effective early March.

Beck joins GSI following seven years of leadership at the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce, where he guided the organization through a period of growth, alignment, and expanding regional collaboration. His transition reflects both continuity and momentum, building on a strong foundation while extending the reach and impact of regional partnerships and leadership.

During his tenure at the Valley Chamber, Beck led economic development and policy initiatives, strengthened business engagement, and worked closely with GSI to deepen collaboration between the two organizations. Together, the organizations aligned around shared regional priorities, strengthening the collective business voice and advancing strategies that support long-term economic vitality across Spokane County.

“This transition represents both continuity and opportunity for our region,” said Alisha Benson, CEO of Greater Spokane Inc. “Lance brings a deep understanding of our regional economy, trusted relationships across the business community, and a proven ability to turn strategy into action. His leadership will help us build on the progress we’ve made and continue advancing our work at a truly regional scale.”

In his new role, Beck will focus on advancing GSI’s strategic priorities, strengthening cross-sector partnerships, and ensuring alignment across economic development, public policy, and business engagement efforts.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to have led the Valley Chamber over the past seven years and proud of the work we accomplished together,” said Beck. “I look forward to continuing to support the Valley Chamber while expanding our collective impact through this new role at GSI. The strength of our region depends on partnership, and I’m excited to help carry that work forward.”
