November 8 is General Election Day

Get out the vote! November 8 is the General Election and registered voters will start receiving their ballots in the mail this week. There are important races and issues on the ballot at the local, state, and federal levels. You can get more information on elections here and you can register to vote here.  We’ve partnered with KHQ and the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce on candidate spotlights. KHQ will start airing them this week and we will share them on our communications platforms. Our partners at AWB and the US Chamber have also put together helpful election resources for the business community. Be sure to vote so your voice is heard!

Key Dates

October 21: Ballots are mailed out no later than 18 days prior to election day

October 31: Deadline to register or update your address online

November 1: USPS recommends mailing voted ballot back at least one week before Election Day

November 8: Election Day – Official ballot drop boxes are open until 8 p.m., mailed ballots must be postmarked by today, registration or update information, and vote in person by 8 p.m.

November 29: County canvassing boards certify General Election results

December 8: Last day for the Secretary of State to certify General Election results
