Why a blog about our region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem?

If you have read our first blog entry “From the Great Recession Comes Great Opportunity “, you know that there is strong data that indicates our city, region, and nation can significantly benefit from supporting entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses. blogWhile our community has made a firm commitment to encourage and support entrepreneurship and business formation, we have an opportunity to create a model, system, and programming that can be replicated throughout our entire region, state, and potentially beyond.

With the myriad activities that have either already occurred, are in progress, are currently being planned, or those that haven’t even yet been imagined, this blog will be an effective way to capture all that we are accomplishing – a way to memorialize our collective efforts. And perhaps information that, someday, can be shared with other communities who are eager to do the same.

Throughout these posts, the terms entrepreneur, start-up, and small business are used synonymously. Our hope is that you will find this information to be valuable and applicable regardless of how you or your organization participate in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
