VIRTUAL CONVERSATION WITH RESMAA MENAKEM

We are excited to announce our 2022 annual community learning event: a virtual conversation with Resmaa Menakem! This year, our focus is on racialized trauma and the pathway to healing. We invite our community of equity learners and aspirers to join us on May 18th at Noon for what is sure to be an impactful conversation between Resmaa Menakem and Alethea Dumas on racialized trauma and healing. About Resmaa
Resmaa Menakem is a healer, a longtime therapist, and a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in the healing of racialized trauma. He is also the founder of the Cultural Somatics Institute, a cultural trauma navigator, and a communal provocateur and coach.

Resmaa is best known as the author of the New York Times bestseller My Grandmother’s Hands: Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending Our Hearts and Bodies, and as the originator and key advocate of Somatic Abolitionism, an embodied antiracist practice of living and culture building. His new book, The Quaking of America, which surveys the deteriorating political climate and presents an urgent call for action to protect ourselves and our country, will be released this April. Event Details
The conversation starts at Noon PST on May 18th. This event will take place on Zoom, and the link will be sent by email the week of the event.

Tickets & Registration
We are offering tickets on a sliding scale model, to eliminate price as a barrier to learning while covering our costs. The suggested price for this event is $59. If your budget allows you to, please consider paying the full amount so we can keep registration accessible for leaders and organizations who may not be in the same position. Greater access strengthens us all!
