Legislative Forum and Reception

If you haven’t attended GSI’s Legislative Forum & Reception in the past, 2019 should be the year that changes. This is truly the only event of the year where business leaders will get to meet, network and ask questions to elected officials. Most of the newly elected officials will be there as well so you will get the chance to meet them before they start their new role. Attendees will hear from Washington State Commerce Director Lisa Brown and receive a preview of GSI’s 2020 State Legislative Agenda, followed by a panel discussion with state legislators. GSI state lobbyist Jim Hedrick will moderate the panel with questions on issues our community cares about, with a few “lightning-round” questions (sourced from our business community) to get to know our legislators a little better.

A reception follows and we invite you all to stay and network with other business leaders in the community as well as talk to our legislators. This is your chance to provide elected officials a ground-level perspective about your business and talk with them about the current business environment.

There will be nearly 30 elected officials in attendance, including our regions’ newly elected officials. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to let your voice be heard; this event is important not only for you and your business, but the entire business community.

The 2019 Legislative Forum and Reception takes place on Thursday, December 12, from 3:30 pm – 7:00 pm at the Historic Davenport Hotel. The reception will feature appetizers, cocktails, wine and beer. Register for this event here. We look forward to seeing you!
