At this year’s GSI Annual Meeting, we shined a light on the amazing partner work that’s being done in our community to lift our region and the people that call the Spokane region home. Spokane hosted the first ever World Championship in Spokane, the World Junior Badminton Championship.

Rockwood Retirement Communities opened the first University affiliated retirement community in Spokane – Rockwood at Whitworth. And it’s almost full one year after opening!

Jasmin Group celebrated increased partnerships with accounting and business clients!

The MAC had record attendance in 2023 with high engagement from the Minecraft exhibit and programming that reached many audiences across Spokane and our region.

Horizon Hospice was humbled to be recognized in 2023 as the only 5-Star Medicare hospice in Spokane. We were also grateful to be one of only two 5-Star providers in Washington State.

VOA broke ground on the new Crosswalk Youth Shelter!

We volunteered more than 16,000 hours and gave back more than $1 million in 2023!

The Salvation Army served 30,000 families with over 2 million lbs of food in 2023. 

Completing third year of strong growth for Girl Scouts. Plus 10 percent growth! Go Girl!

We served over 197,000 youth and families through events and programs at HUB Sports Center.

Providence Health is having success with a new model for hiring events. We recently hired 59 RNs during one event!!

Acquiring Hawaiian Airlines to expand benefits and choices for our guests, and unlocking new global destinations across Asia, Australia, and the South Pacific!

Spokane International Airport recently recorded its busiest year ever. Airport passenger traffic totaled more than 4.13 million passengers in 2023, a 2.3% increase from the previous passenger record set in 2019. Airlines also processed 77,398 tons of cargo, representing the third highest tonnage on record.

WSECU was honored by Forbes as the #1 Credit Union of Washington!

70k+ room nights contracted in 2023!. Visit Spokane Experiences launched in 2023 – Beer & Cider Trail, digital Sculpture Walk to kick it off. More coming in 2024!. Through hotel industry support, secured increase in TPA funding that sets us and our pals at Spokane Sports up for success in 2024. Hired CEO and VP of Marketing.

Proud to open an office in Spokane and increase our staffing.

Numerica – 2023 Large Business – Best Place to Work – 3rd year in a row!

Uptic Studios Inc., a full service Architecture and Interior Design firm, moved into our new office on Sprague Ave.

Major infrastructure investments in the region.

Lee & Hayes and Gravis Law offered workshops and office hours for small businesses needing legal support through StartUp Spokane and Jumpstart.

Jubilant HollisterStier opened their third manufacturing line that adds another 200+ jobs to our community.
