Entrepreneurs aren’t just born, our educational system and opportunities in the Spokane region help give the next generation the tools they need to critically think, challenge the status quo, and innovate new ideas. This is no more prevalent than at Riverpoint Academy, a grade 11-12 opportunity for students of Mead School District. Lazer cutters, 3-D Printers, iMacs, and multimedia equipment that would make public radio jealous- this is not your typical high school, and that’s a good thing for the future of Spokane. We chat with Riverpoint Academy Principal Moleena Harris as we discuss their unique curriculum, how entrepreneurship fits in, and what they are achieving in producing a model for learning in the 21st century.
