Virtual Reality, LEGO Robotics, Crime Scene Investigation, 3D Design and Printing, Littles Love Chemistry, Physics ….and the list goes on and on! This summer, 30+ STEM camps were available for children ages 3 to 15 through the Summer STEM Camp program in Spokane Public Schools. For four weeks, at three camp locations, with 137 amazing STEM camp staff, 2772 kids experienced incredible STEM learning!
Summer STEM Camp grew by 1000 registrations in our 4th year with the addition of more preschool offerings, Girls Love LEGOs and STEM Leadership Camp for students in 9th and 10th grade. There was truly something for everyone this summer. Spokane Public Schools continues to deliver amazing opportunities for kids to practice problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and career and college exploration, all while offering tons of fun.
Enrollment in the program is open to anyone! Every public, private, and charter elementary and middle school in the region has students attending. Homeschoolers love camp too! High school students from around the region participate in STEM leadership camp, and then lead our camps each summer! Many kids travel from across the country and from abroad to visit grandparents and attend camps. These programs are for every learner!
Whether you are an avid computer programmer, a budding biologist, a gifted gamer, or just curious about how and why things work, our camps have something for you! Summer STEM Camp proves to be a recipe for success to alleviate summer slide, enhance skill development in math and science, bring kids of all ages together to learn and have fun!
