Career Connect WA Funds Twenty New Program Builders

More than $500,000 awarded to partners in the Northeast region developing career programs

On February 8, Career Connect Washington (CCW) released twenty new Round 10 Program Builder awardees that represent partners being funded in sixteen of Washington state’s 39 counties to build career programs and pathways. CCW Program Builders bridge the connection between industry and educators to create and scale Career Launch (includes Registered Apprenticeship), Career Prep (includes Recognized Pre-Apprenticeship), and Career Explore programs.

In the Career Connect Northeast (CCNE) region, managed by Greater Spokane Inc. and one of nine CCW Regional Networks across the state, covering Stevens, Ferry, Pend Oreille, Lincoln, Spokane, Whitman, and Adams counties – five awards were identified across four partners to create and expand career programs in various industries:

  • East Valley School District– Expanded Career Prep in advanced manufacturing (Spokane, Pend Oreille, Stevens)
  • Friends of KSPS– Expanded Career Prep in media production (Stevens, Whitman)
  • Friends of KSPS– Expanded Career Explore in multiple industries (Spokane, Stevens, Whitman)
  • Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce– New Career Explore in advanced manufacturing (Spokane)
  • Washington State University– Expanded Career Prep in health science (Stevens)
