Spokane STEM Features The Girl Scouts

The Spokane STEM Network – which is supported by GSI and the Northeast Education Service District 101 – visited with Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho to learn what the organization is doing to promote STEM subjects and STEM careers to girls.

Girl Scouts incorporate STEM into all of its camps. Pam Lund, the organization’s President and CEO here locally, said perceptions about females in STEM careers need to change in order for more girls to get involved in STEM subjects.
