The University was able to add more capacity and but it all got used and this event is officially sold out.

We have tentatively scheduled next years workshop for the third week in April and registration should open around the first of March next year.

This workshop is designed for high school students hosted by first-year medical students at the University of Washington School of Medicine.

The only thing constant about modern medicine is change. From the development of cancer-fighting nanorobots to revolutions in health care delivery systems, the way we practice medicine continues to adapt to evolving people and societies. Join us in an exploration of human anatomy and the roles of leaders who shape the health care field. During Business AfterSchool, you will rotate through four stations, including a health professional Q&A panel, a technical skills workshop, an anatomy specimen presentation, and a day in the life of a med student.

Students studying at the UW School of Medicine in Spokane complete their first 18 months of medical school– called the Foundations Phase– during courses in the Schoenberg Center on the Gonzaga campus, as well in the community. The Foundations Phase integrates basic science and clinical education, as well as rural training early in the curriculum and is taught by clinical skills instructors and foundations guides. Aspiring physician assistants in the UW's MEDEX Northwest program in Spokane also take courses on Gonzaga's campus.
