The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Greater Spokane Inc. and West Plains Chamber of Commerce, invite you to participate in a Zoom conference call regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, and resources from state agencies that benefit Small Businesses. Speakers will present on the new Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, business recovery, and the SBA lending process. Please see below for a complete list of speakers and discussion topics:

 

Speakers:

1. Mariana Hernandez, Lead Policy Analyst, Employment Securities Department will explain the different ESD programs, as well as, the rollout of the new expanded Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program in the CARES Act

2. Lisa Brown, Director, Washington State Department of Commerce will give an overview of the resources that the Department of Commerce offers and their business recovery efforts. Additionally, there will be discussion on the new Working Washington Small Business Emergency Grant.

3. Local Lenders (2)

  •  Ezra Eckhardt, President/CEO, STCU – will highlight STCU’s process for bringing these SBA loan programs online to meet customer demand, discuss the process of applying for the different SBA loans
  • Jack Heath, President/COO, Washington Trust Bank – Will discuss the volume they have been handling as an existing SBA lender who went live on 4/3 for the PPP, and discuss the process as independent contractors are allow to apply starting 4/10.
