The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Greater Spokane Inc. and West Plains Chamber of Commerce, invites you to participate in a Zoom conference call regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and the newly passed CARES Act. We will discuss the small business provisions in the CARES Act, the resources that FEMA brings to the table when they get involved, what SBA is doing to roll out the new provisions and finally what the U.S. Chamber is doing and the resources they provide businesses. There will be an opportunity to ask the speakers questions at the end of the call. Please see below for a complete list of speakers and discussion topics:

  1. Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers will discuss what was in the CARES Act and how it will benefit small businesses.
  2. Small Business Administration, will provide the most up-to-date information on what SBA is doing to roll out the loans as well as guidance on what businesses can be doing now.
  3. Federal Emergency Management Agency will outline their role in a disaster area and the resources they bring in when they get involved.
  4. Ron Eidshaug, VP of Congressional and Public Affairs, U.S. Chamber of Commerce will present on how they are working to support businesses during this time, and provide resources they have to offer through our local Chamber partnerships.
