StartUp Spokane and the Spokane Public Library have partnered to bring you the JumpStart Event series!

The goal of this series is to feature our own local entrepreneurs who will share tips, tricks and stories about how to become and stay successful. This is your opportunity to learn from experienced entrepreneurs and passionate individuals.

The purpose of this session is to give attendees a chance to ask legal questions and have them answered by a local corporated attorney. Example topics: What kind of legal entity should I form? How should we document ownership among several founders? How do we comply with securities laws when raising capital? What do I need to do to start hiring employees? Do I need a trademark? How can I protect my ideas?

George Brunt is a partner at Lee & Hayes and chair of the firm's corporate practice group. He has founded several of his own startups and also teaches IP courses as an adjunct professor at Gonzaga Law School.
