Don’t miss Lilac City Roller Derby’s exciting double header!

Start the evening with our Yetis taking on Hellgate Roller Derby from Montana! These two teams clash like fire and ice and we are excited to be hitting the track with them again.

The second game of the night is the debut of our newly rebranded Open Gender team: Lore! Come watch our gender inclusive team take on the skaters of Atomic in a game that’s sure to be the stuff of legends!

This double header will include lots of entertainment for the whole family. Aside from the beautiful chaos that is roller derby, we will have vendor booths, mascots, halftime entertainment, door prizes, and activities for kids.
After all the excitement be sure to join our skaters and officials for the afterparty at Barrelhouse Pub & Pizza in Cheney.

What to expect:
Food: We love this venue for it’s great seating and amazing skating surface, but we are not allowed to have food trucks or sell concessions. We will have a small selection of complimentary snacks (with donations encouraged) and beverages available and you are welcome to bring your own food. No alcohol is allowed at EWU but you can buy adult beverages at the afterparty!

Parking:
Parking at EWU can be a little tricky. If you drive one block east of the URC there is a lot between Cedar and Elm that has free event parking. There are other small lots that are also available and free on weekends, signage is clearly marked.
Metered street parking is free on weekends.
The URC has a very small parking garage attached that fills up fast, so if that’s your plan you’ll want to get there early.

Sensory and comfort tips:
Roller derby is a fast paced and often loud sport. This venue amplifies the noise. Hearing protection may help with comfort for persons who are easily overstimulated or have sensory processing issues. Hearing protection is also recommended for children.
The venue is an ice arena and tends to be chilly, a light jacket might be comfortable in this venue.
