SNAP Power of Connection Kick-Off

Category: Community Events
September 14, 2022
3:30 PM -
6:30 PM

On Thursday, September 15th, SNAP is hosting an in-person event kicking off their largest fundraiser of the year. There are two portions to this event:

1. A ‘Month’ in the Life of ALICE: A Community Life Exercise
3:30 – 5:00pm
This helps people gain an understanding about the realities that many of our Spokane neighbors face due to financial hardship. (ALICE stands for “Asset-limited, Income-Constrained, Employed” and could refer to many SNAP clients who are working, but living paycheck to paycheck as they try to make sustainable routes out of poverty.) This immersive activity is an eye-opening way to help give insight into the reality of living in poverty.

2. Kick-Off Reception
5:00-6:30pm
The second half of our event will have drinks and appetizers, networking time, and additional ways to learn about our campaign.

If you are interested, please RSVP so we can know to expect you!
