GSI creates the place where organizations come together to advocate for the region, drive strategic economic growth and champion a talented workforce. Because our future is greater than any one of us.
Together we’re greater. It’s all about our community and creating a vibrant region that is connected, inspired, and driven to succeed. We can’t do this work alone. We partner with local businesses, our community, non-profits, and the surrounding region to build a robust regional economy.

Mary Pat Kanaley is the co-recipient of a 2021 Spokane Arts Grant Award (SAGA) for the upcoming picture book “Ponies In The Park” with author Mary Louise Carpenter. Mary Pat illustrates a story about a little girl’s magical moonlight adventure in Spokane’s Riverfront Park. In the back of the book is the history and information about all the sculptures the little girl meets in the park. As an added bonus, Mary Pat will be hosting a hands-on art workshop (create a carousel pony), in the Liberty Gallery, for children from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, just in time for National Carousel Day!
Stop by to see Mary Pat’s work, July 1st – 30th, at the Liberty Gallery (above Auntie’s) located in the Historic Liberty Building, 203 N. Washington St!
