2024 Annual Meeting Recap – Remarkable We

Thank you to everyone who joined us at this year’s Annual Meeting. Presented by Marsh McLennan Agency, our event centered around the theme of “Remarkable We,” highlighting the incredible contributions and collaborative efforts of partners, volunteers, and community leaders in driving progress throughout our region.

A special acknowledgment goes to Carla Cicero, CEO of Numerica Credit Union, Immediate Past Chair, for her leadership in 2023. Under her guidance, Greater Spokane Inc. focused on fostering collaboration within the community, leading to significant strides in creating a thriving Spokane region.

Looking ahead, Stacey Cowles, CEO of Cowles Company, our 2024 Chair, outlined key goals we’ll focus on this year, including expanding our small business community, nurturing our innovation cluster, fostering collaboration on public safety initiatives, advocating for a regulatory environment conducive to business growth, and strengthening partnerships with education providers to connect students with career-focused learning opportunities.

Our guest speaker, Susan Frew, a renowned entrepreneur and AI innovator, shared invaluable insights into the impact and potential of artificial intelligence. With over 15,000 AI programs and counting, the landscape of AI is rapidly evolving, presenting some challenges and opportunities for businesses. Susan has a wealth of resources and some go-to information for businesses looking to get started on utilizing AI.
