Economic Forecast Presents Risks and Opportunities Ahead for 2024

Nearly 500 people attended the 2024 Economic Forecast at the Spokane Convention Center. With uncertainty in the air, it was nice to see the data and hear from our local economists help put things into perspective for 2024. Presented by U.S. Bank, this year’s event featured Steve Scranton, Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer & Economist with Washington Trust Bank; Dr. Vange Ocasio Hochheimer, Professor of Economics and Finance at Whitworth University; and Dr. Grant Forsyth, Chief Economist at Avista Corp.

Thanks to our partner the Spokane Journal of Business and the Spokane Convention Center for helping make this year’s event a success. *Check out the presentations below, which will be published for one week.

Thank you to presenting partner US Bank, Executive Sponsors Idaho Central Credit Union and Numerica Credit Union, Major Sponsors Innovia, Kalispel Tribe of Indians, and Providence Health Plan, Supporting Sponsors Bernardo Wills and Community Colleges of Spokane, and Event Sponsors Bank of America, Spokane Public Facilities District, and Whitworth University.
