EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Regular, Full-time; Exempt

 

Greater Spokane Incorporated (GSI) is seeking a qualified Marketing and Communications Coordinator to provide marketing and communication support for core services, mission-related activities and the membership of GSI.  The successful candidate will join a collaborative team and serve as the organization’s primary media relations and social media contact.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, researching, writing, photography, editing and story development support for a variety of communication materials such as e-newsletters, press releases, blogs and other social media.  Must be able to develop and maintain relationships with the media and pitch stories, serving as the primary media contact.  He/she will also provide social media support at GSI events and other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or communications or related field and a valid state driver’s license free of serious or frequent traffic violations. The ideal candidate is required to have experience using Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.  Must have the ability to exercise tact, good judgment, and initiative and perform all tasks with a positive, professional demeanor that is respectful of colleagues, supervisors, GSI members, and the general public.
