Spokane Public Schools' 2018 Summer STEM Camps brought hands-on STEM to more than 3,000 kids Pre-K-8th throughout the region.  Young Drone Operators, Kids Love Engineering and Construction, and Preschool Foodies were among some of the new camps added to the already popular LEGO and Coding camps!  Spokane Public Schools Summer STEM camps offer problem–solving, critical thinking, teamwork and communication, and leadership skills through fun and engaging activities.  These critical skills are so important for the development of students and our future workforce! Videos and pictures are included on their Facebook page. Registration for 2019 Summer STEM Camps will open April, 2019!

Mead School District's Summer STEM Academy served 373 students grades 2-8 for 3 weeks during the month of July from 8am-1pm with breakfast and lunch served for all campers and community members under the age 18. West Valley School District's 4-day STEM camp served 197 students in grades 1-6 in June. Students attended camps in Lego Robotics, Girls Love Legos, and Medical Mysteries. 27 West Valley High School Career & Technical Education student volunteers helped teach each of the camps. These FIRST Robotics and Health Science students made camp fun and interesting for kids. Many students participated in a small robotics competition on the last day of camp after spending 3 full days building, testing, modifying, and re-building their robots.

Central Valley School District's 2018 Summer STEM Camp will take place August 20-23 at Spokane Valley Tech (SVT) for students 2-8 grades. Registration is now full.
