Each group is limited to one representative per industry- so there's no competition for referrals. Can I test out a group before I commit? If your industry is open for that group, you are welcome to attend as a guest before you commit.
What is the meeting format? The Chairman of the group creates an agenda for the meeting and it varies slightly depending on the group. Each meeting will include a 60 second commercial from each person around the table, spotlight business presentations and guest introductions. The Downtown #1 & Downtown #2 groups have a lunch component as well.
What is the cost to be involved with a B2B Connect group? To be a member of the group you must be a GSI member in good standing. The annual cost to participate in the group is $50. There is an additional lunch cost for the Downtown #1 & Downtown #2 groups.
Is attendance mandatory? As a networking group, attendance is vital! If you can't make it to a meeting, please send a substitute in your place. This could be a co-worker from your office or someone else from your professional network that may be interested in testing out the group. Your spot in the group could be in jeopardy if you miss more than 3 meetings during a six month period.
