(SPOKANE, Wash.) – Greater Spokane Inc. (GSI) and 13 community partners have launched a new economic development website called AdvantageSpokane.com. The website provides site location consultants and businesses located outside of the region with a variety of information about the Spokane region and its ability to support business growth, recruitment and relocation decisions.
The website focuses on regional data sets including information on business climate, workforce, education, transportation, and real estate. It also enables interested parties to view demographics and information on this region’s municipalities, Public Development Authorities (PDAs) and other designated areas that focus on economic development.
“The Advantage Spokane website is a critical tool for this region,” said Alisha Benson, CEO, Greater Spokane Inc. “Our region is primed for growth and there are many solid reasons for businesses to grow and expand here. GSI continues to broaden a set of strategies to enable economic development investment in our region. Our region succeeds when we collaborate; GSI does not do this work alone. Advantage Spokane partners include City of Cheney, City of Liberty Lake, City of Spokane, City of Spokane Valley, Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Public Development Authority, Spokane County, Spokane International Airport, The Spokane Tribe, University District Public Development Authority, Visit Spokane, West Plains Chamber of Commerce, and West Plains Airport Area Public Development Authority.
The website was developed and designed by Spokane-based web development company, Zipline Interactive.
“This type of countywide collaboration of partners is what makes our region special,” said Mary Kuney, Chair of the Spokane County Board of Commissioners. “The launch of this website demonstrates that partnership and is a step forward for economic development throughout our County.”
