Small Business COVID-19 Update Call

Friday, March 20th from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

 

The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Greater Spokane Inc. and West Plains Chamber of Commerce, invites you to participate in a Zoom conference call regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, and how businesses can best find support for themselves and their employees. We will hear what Congress is doing to support businesses, resources the Small Business Administration can offer, how to navigate the Unemployment Insurance program, and more. There will be an opportunity to ask the speakers questions at the end of the call. Please see below for a complete list of speakers and discussion topics:

 

  1. Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers will discuss several bills that Congress has passed to fight the pandemic, as well as touch on the prospective stimulus package that the President has proposed. 
  2. Jeremy Field, Regional Administrator for the Small Business Administration, will provide information on the SBA’s Small Business Disaster Loan Program, and other resources that the SBA can offer businesses. 
  3. Dan Zeitlin, Employment System Policy Director for the Employment Securities Department, will provide expertise on the Unemployment Insurance program for Washington State including best practices for employers and employees, and will be available for questions. 
  4. Gary Chandler, the Vice President of Government Affairs for the Association of Washington Businesses, will present on how AWB is working to support Washington businesses during this time.
