Tiki Cocktail Class

Class Description: Step out of the cold and into the world of Tiki culture with our first cocktail class of the year. Learn how the forces of 19th-century drinking culture, Prohibition, war, and tourism brought together the proliferation of Tiki culture. Immerse yourself in the stories and master the techniques that ushered in what people drank on the islands and the mainland. Enjoy these tropical delights as we transition to spring!

Crafted Drinks:

Tiki’s founding punch swizzle: gold rum, lime, mint, aromatic bitters, fizzy water
WWII-inspired victory cocktail: rhum agricole, gold rum, falernum, allspice, honey lime, orange, bitters, brandied cherry
The quintessential tiki concoction: gold rum, dark rum, grapefruit, lime, orange curaçao, falernum, pernod, aromatic bitters, mint

There will be a bartending station for each pair of guests at class, fresh-prepped juices/syrups/garnishes, and elegant vintage glassware. Shake, sip, and savor in style as you deepen your knowledge of cocktails and develop your palate.

MUST BE 21 and over. The class is limited to 30 guests.

What to Expect: In this intimate, hands-on cocktail class, you will be paired up at a station with vintage glassware and classic craft bartending tools.

+The class, including mealtime, takes approximately 3 hours.

+Each participant will receive a specialized booklet provided by “Raising the Bar” with 3 cocktail recipes and history about each cocktail!

+Full Meal Menu including Bread, Caesar Salad, and our Pasta Bar Buffet.

+Raising the Bar will provide all the bartending equipment and supplies.
